This skin care client offers a wide range of general, surgical, pediatric, and cosmetic dermatology services. Their clinic has three locations, all of which are in Louisiana, with their main office located in Baton Rouge, LA, near a major medical center. They have a team consisting of nine board-certified dermatologists, and one dermatopathologist.

Prior to Search Influence

This team was originally running their own small Google Adwords and Facebook PPC campaigns, and wanted to begin optimizing their website for key terms. They came to Search Influence in April of 2014 and wanted to organically target Baton Rouge and the surrounding areas—including Livingston Parish, Prairieville, and Denham Springs—for the following services: cosmetic dermatology, Botox, Juvederm, acne treatments, laser treatments, and Vanquish treatments. Their goals were to create brand awareness, improve their online presence for all three-branch locations, and most importantly, gain new patients in addition to increasing the overall number of cosmetic dermatology procedures performed.

The Approach

After reviewing both their website and their existing online presence, we implemented an aggressive Search Engine Optimization package for the client, with a start date of April 2014, aiming to improve their overall presence online. We also created a mobile website for the clinic, in order to increase the traffic they were seeing from mobile devices. Within this approach, we created and implemented new service pages as well as location pages on the site, in addition to optimizing some of their existing website pages. We continue to write and maintain their blog, and continue to build their authority offsite by expanding and monitoring their local listings, writing and distributing Press Releases online, creating and optimizing YouTube videos, as well as optimizing and posting to their Google+ business pages.

The Results

From April 2014–December 2014:

  • The total number of visits has increased by 33.17% to 4,364 in December
  • Organic search visits have increased by 32.78% to 3,176 in December
  • Google organic visits have increased by 26.27% to 2,437 visits in December
  • The number of first time users coming to the site has increased by 20% from the start of their campaign in April
