Website Promotion is not Voodoo

High Web Rank is trying to help me rank better for Chiropractor New Orleans with their 13,000 sites.

I was looking at websites under the keyword ‘ chiropractor new orleans ‘ and came across your website http://www.ifindsales.com/. I see that you’re ranked number 2 on page 15.

I’d like a little help here please. Like my friend, Portland OR Web Designer, David Mihm I needed a head shot for SMX Local Mobile where I’ll be on a panel with a fine bunch of fellows on ranking factors for local search.

I went to see one of our clients Jessica Johanningmeier a New Orleans Wedding Photographer to have her shoot a few.

A company who’s domain is linkshog.com has been spamming my clients. Here’s why I call it spam versus just unsolicited email (I’m not averse to well done unsolicited email).

1. They clearly have no human review
2. The search phrases they call out are inappropriate
3. In a few instances they’ve been wrong (telling one of my “New Orleans Chiropractors” that he was in position 18 instead of position 4)

This is a funny story and turned out to be a pretty good example of what reputation management, as I understand it, is all about.
Now, keep in mind there are people who focus on reputation management. We dabble.

I’m writing to give praise to Court Cunningham.

Court Cunningham, the CEO of NatPal, has been incredibly quick in responding to my earlier post in which I was critical of NatPal’s handling of mirror sites.

He indicates in his comment that they are also being quick to address the problem noted.

So do a number of other search marketing aggregators. They’re not all the same even though on the surface they offer similar products.
