This is a great website for companies to gain consumer trust. With more and more people being skeptical of standard advertising methods, referrals are becoming the #1 way to build a brand. Having a positive review broadcast through social media juggernauts like Twitter and Facebook is an incredible reflection on the company and has a direct, trackable, and (I would argue) impressive impact on conversion rates.

Kudos to Yelp. I know I use it all the time and I'm sure it will only rise in popularity (Yes, I'm referring a website about referrals :-) ).
